Vegetarian Dinner Club PDF Print E-mail
Lotus FlowerVisionDinner Basket

A semi-formal social group of adults honoring the dharma through kind laughter, ono vegetarian grinds, practice and other activities.

  Mission

The club’s mission is to integrate community, nutritional, interpersonal and spiritual facets of our lives in a way that promotes and demonstrates cooperation, generosity and sustainability.

Location & FormatGourmet Kitchen

Each dinner is hosted at Marty’s House with rotating cooks who are club members that provide most of the food when it is their turn to cook for around 8 people.

Important Things to Remember

  1. RSVP Policies – YES/No
  2. We have “Charter Members,” “Members,” “Guests” to clarify how the club operates. Guests are not members until they, at least, return for a 2nd dinner.
  3. Members have an obligation to cook on a rotating basis. Members who do not cook must get approval from the group.
  4. We use our Name, Vision and Mission Statements as our guiding language helping us remain focused and cohesive.
  5. If we have serious disagreements, they are handled one-on-one at a different time and space using the practices of Thich Naht Hanh as much as possible.
  6. We have a mix of different diets but are all committed to reducing our carbon footprint and keeping our dinners Buddhist/vegetarian with vegan options.
